Loreley Hodkin has a passion for history. She has been the City Historian for Auburn, California since 2002, and a Placer County resident for 70 years. Loreley has authored more than 30 history articles for the Auburn Journal. For 7 years she worked as a volunteer for the Placer County Museums, and has attended numerous workshops on “history and preservation”. Loreley has written two books, “A Chronology of Auburn, 1848-1910” and “1st Placer County Hospital, a Historical Report”. She resides in Auburn, California.
